For a long time, we at The Sunshine Kitchen sought to develop a garden where our team members could grow their own produce for use in the kitchen.

Learning about how to grow seasonal fruit and vegetables, and what they can be used for, is important so that our young people understand the food they are working with. This can only yield more creativity in the kitchen as well as an all-important sustainable approach to the project.  

Our dedicated garden is now located in lovely Craigtoun Park near St Andrews, and we will be holding an Open Day to welcome visitors on a drop-in basis on Saturday 27th August, between the hours of 12-3pm. 

This will be an opportunity to meet our team of young gardeners, see what they are growing and try some of the food that they have made from their produce. We hope to see you there!
